Two suspects accused of the brutal murder of an elderly couple from Glen in the Free State have made their first court appearance.
Mohau Lebeko, 39 and his co-accused Lucas Wolf, 26 appeared in the Bloemfontein Magistrates Court on Monday.
Christo Morrison, 76, and his 73-year-old wife Christa were murdered on the 4th of May on their farm just outside of Bloemfontein.
Christo's body was discovered about 300 meters from his property while his wife's body was retrieved from a septic tank, both had open wounds to their upper bodies.
Lebeko and Wolf were arrested on Friday at a guesthouse in Bloemhof where they were found in possession of the victims' cell phones.
It is alleged that the accused also transferred R220 000 in two payments of R110 000 from the couple's bank accounts into their own.
They are each facing a double murder charge as well as house robbery.
The men will remain in custody.
