The case against five suspects accused in the kidnapping and triple murder of a farming family in Hartswater in the Northern Cape has been postponed to 27 August, to allow for further investigation.
This follows the group's brief appearance for bail application in the Hartswater Regional Court on Thursday.
The family was abducted from their house on a Sunday afternoon last month and both their vehicles were stolen.
Police found the body of 54-year-old Elzabie and her parents, the 83-year-old Danie Brand and his 73-year-old wife Breggie.
Police spokesperson, Mohale Ramatseba, says only the woman, Kgomotso Mpumlwana, who is one the accused, will be applying for bail.
The other four will remain in custody, with Ramatseba saying there is a possibility that they abandoned their bail application. He says, however, they did not indicate this in court.
