A 32-year-old man has been arrested in the Johannesburg CBD for allegedly robbing a salon, police said on Monday.
It is alleged that two suspects robbed a saloon on Friday.
Police spokesperson, Captain Xoli Mbele, said two males entered the salon, closed the sliding door before one of them pulled out a firearm.
“They took an undisclosed amount of money and also robbed the customers, taking money and cellphones, before they fled the scene,” said Mbele.
Mbele said a suspect was spotted by the victim still wearing the same clothes the following day and called the police.
“His accomplice is still at large with a firearm and police are still continuing with investigations.”
The suspect was due to appear in the Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court soon.
