A suspect who allegedly shot and injured a Member of Parliament is expected to appear in the Randburg Magistrates Court on Thursday.
The 27-year-old man was arrested during a joint intelligence-driven operation on Tuesday.
He is facing charges of armed robbery and attempted murder after a Member of Parliament was shot at a residential estate in Dainfern on the 7th of January.
The 59-year-old DA MP Cameron Mackenzie was shot in the arm whilst suspects attempted to rob him of his luxury wrist-watch.
Spokesperson Brigadier Mathapelo Peters says the suspect in custody is also linked to other cases.
He says more arrests are possible.
