The situation at the Sun City Resort in North West was under control on Sunday morning, and mopping-up operations were underway after the resort was hit by a severe hail storm late on Saturday afternoon.
That's according to chief operating officer Thabo Mosololi, who says most of the damage was caused by flash flooding at the Sun Central family and entertainment precinct and in ground floor hotel rooms.
He says visitors intending to travel to Sun City are advised to first check with the respective hotels they were booked into, before travelling to the resort.
Mosololi says two people sustained injuries from slipping on wet floors.
They were treated at the on-site clinic before being transferred to nearby hospitals.
