Embattled Parliamentary Speaker, Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula, can expect more strife from her colleagues in the national assembly.
The Acting Speaker, Lechese Tsenoli, has accepted a DA motion of no confidence in Mapisa-Nqakula, as being substantively in order.
He indicated in a letter that he will now embark on the required consultations with the chief whips of parties represented in the House.

DA chief whip, Siviwe Gwarube, welcomed the decision and said the motion must now be considered urgently.
"Considering that this Parliament remains competent until May, there is no reason why a special sitting of Parliament should not be called as early as next week to consider this important motion.
"Mapisa-Nqakula is no longer suited to hold this important position of leading the national assembly. We are the very institution that ought to hold the executive to account; we cannot be found wanting when the Speaker is the one facing corruption allegations," Gwarube said.
The Speaker is facing 12 counts of corruption and money laundering allegations from her time as the Minister of Defence.
She is currently locked in a court battle to stave off her pending arrest, following raids on her home by investigators from the NPA's Investigative Directorate.
Judgment was reserved in the matter on Monday.
