Two cousins who were kidnapped earlier this month in North West were found by police at a house near Winterveld on Monday.
Police spokesperson, Brigadier Sabata Mokgwabone said 17-year-old Zahraa Mohammed and 19-year-old cousin, Bataviya Mohammed, were “in good health” and reunited with their families.
He said six suspects were also arrested and will appear in court soon on kidnapping and extortion charges.
Mokgwabone said a seventh suspect, Humphrey Martin, was arrested last week and has already appeared in court.
He remains in custody and is expected to appear in court again on Monday, 8 April, for a formal bail application.
Lieutenant-General Sello Kwena expressed his gratitude to the multi-disciplinary team for their relentless efforts, which led to the finding of the victims and the arrest of the suspects.
