A 32-year-old Airforce Corporal has been murdered outside a local pub in Westdene, Bloemfontein.
The deceased was attached to 16 Squadron at the Bloemspruit Airforce Base.
Parkweg police say they responded to a complaint of an attack in the parking area of the establishment at around 3 am on Monday.
At the scene, they found the body of the victim with a stab wound to the back.
According to eyewitnesses, they'd been attacked by four knife-wielding men.
They told police that the Airforce Corporal had been stabbed and robbed of his cellphone and car keys.
A case of murder and robbery is being investigated.
