Six people murdered at Soweto hostel

The South African Police Service (SAPS) has launched a manhunt for three suspects after six people were fatally shot and a seventh victim was wounded at the Jabulani hostel in Soweto.

Gauteng police spokesperson Captain Kay Makhubele, says at least three suspects opened fire on a shack in Jabulani hostel around 11 pm on Monday.

Five people died on the scene and the 6^th victim passed away in hospital.

A seventh victim is still in the hospital.

Captain Makhubele said the motive for the killing was unknown.
