North West premier, Thandi Modise, has described the actions of a policeman who allegedly stole money from a man who was killed in an accident as "shameful".
She said on Wednesday that "while theft of goods from accident scenes is deplorable, its even more shocking that a police officer is alleged to have committed this despicable crime."
North West policeman, Warrant Officer Christopher Ross appeared in court on Monday for allegedly stealing several items, including R900 from a man who was killed in an accident last week.
Ross will be back in court again on the 16th of January.
