Seven people were killed in two separate road accidents in the Karoo in the early hours of this morning.
Five people were killed in a crash on the N1 between Laingsburg and Prince Albert Road at around 3.30am.
Police captain Bernadine Steyn said a minibus and a car collided head on around 3.30am.
An 11-year-old girl travelling in the minibus and two men and two woman travelling in the car were killed.
Seventeen people were seriously injured and taken to hospital.
In a seperate accident, also on the N1 between Leeu-Gamka and Beaufort West, a VW Polo and a VW Golf collided head-on killing two men.
