Seven people have been killed and multiple others have been injured following a three-vehicle collision on the N4 in Middelburg, Mpumalanga on Wednesday.
The accident happened between van Dyksdrift and Samora Machel Street.
A spokesperson for ER24 Ineke van Huyssteen says paramedics came across the accident at about 6 am on Wednesday morning and found three vehicles on the scene with multiple patients lying across the roadway.
She says two patients were transported to a hospital for further medical care.
The exact circumstances surrounding the incident were not known by paramedics.
van Huyssteen says police were at the scene for further investigations.
