Another stabbing at an SA school

There's been a third stabbing involving school children in just 24 hours.

In the latest incident, a schoolgirl was stabbed and wounded at Reunion Secondary School in Isipingo, south of Durban on Tuesday.

It is alleged that two girls were fighting when one of them was stabbed in the chest with a knife.

According to Dhevan Govindsamy of PT Alarms Paramedics, the wounded learner was treated on the scene and then taken to hospital.

He said the alleged perpetrator, who is still a minor, was taken to Isipingo police station to be charged and then handed over to her parents.

On Monday, a Mossel Bay learner died in hospital after being stabbed by three other learners at Hillcrest Secondary school while a Gauteng Grade 9 learner was killed when he was stabbed in the chest with a pair of scissors by another learner who is also in police custody.
