Seven people were killed when a taxi driver lost control of his vehicle on the R61 between Aberdeen and Beaufort West early this morning.
Western Cape Traffic Chief Kenny Africa says the accident happened between 5 and 6 o'clock this morning in the Eastern Cape - 7 kilometres from the Western Cape border.
He says six people were admitted to hospital with minor injuries.
No other vehicles were involved in the accident.
