The father of murdered South African soccer star Senzo Meyiwa died early on Monday morning.
While the family confirmed the death of Sam Meyiwa, they said details would be released later.
Sam suffered a stroke just short of a year ago and since then, his health had reportedly been failing.
Sam made national headlines following the death of Senzo when he spoke out about the South African Police Services' (SAPS) inability to solve his son’s murder.
Senzo was shot and killed during an alleged armed robbery in Vosloorus in October 2014.
Not a single person has been arrested in connection with the murder.
