A second man has been arrested in connection with the violence that erupted at the Senekal Magistrate's Court on October 6.
Court property was damaged and a police vehicle overturned and set alight during the first appearance of two suspects in the Bredin Horner murder case.
Police Ministry spokesperson, Lirandzu Themba tweeted on Friday evening that the 33-year old is in custody and will be facing charges of attempted murder, public violence, arson and malicious damage to property when he appears in the Senekal Magistrate's Court on Monday.
The arrest came a few days after 51-year old André Pienaar was denied bail by Magistrate Buti Mlangeni for his role in the unrest.
Meanwhile, the murder case of Horner will resume in the same local court on Tuesday.
Sekwetje Mahlamba and Sekola Matlaletsa, aged 32 and 44-years respectively, will remain in custody until then.
The matter was postponed allowing for cross-examination of the investigating officer Pieter Myburgh, by the defence.
