The search for an alleged holiday swindler, Francois Swart has intensified with a manhunt now launched.
Spokesperson for police in Limpopo Brigadier Hlulani Mashaba says a warrant of arrest was issued for the suspect earlier this month.
The suspect who is the managing director of a travel agency based in Fourways called "Priority Escapes" allegedly defrauded would-be holidaymakers out of R130 000.
Mashaba says a case was opened at the Modimolle police station, by two complainants in August.
He appealed to any person with knowledge of Swart's whereabouts to contact the Investigating Officer Gawie Greef on 082 565 7800.
Private Prosecution Unit
Earlier this month Afriforum's Private Prosecution Unit confirmed that they were representing the two complainants from Modimolle.
Unit spokesperson Barry Bateman says the pair approached the unit when they were not provided with the investigating officer's particulars to further engage on the matter.
He says the clients paid for their holidays in full and were furnished with false documents.
Swart who offered holidays to the Maldives has since deleted his social media pages and website.
A simple search on Facebook shows several people sharing their ordeals with Swart, with one complainant stating that he ruined her honeymoon.
