SANDF
Four SANDF members were arrested at a mine in Welkom in the Free State on charges of conspiracy to commit a crime.
Free State police spokesperson, Brigadier Motantsi Makhele, says the men were arrested at Kudu Mine Shaft on Tuesday after apparently claiming to have been deployed there.
He says the men were driving in two vehicles fitted with military registration plates, but he says the cars did not belong to the SANDF.
Makhele says military police were called and it was confirmed that the four were not deployed at the mine.
They are due to appear in court soon.
