The Democratic Alliance has welcomed a decision by the Human Rights Commission to investigate a right-wing training camp in Mpumalanga.
The DA lodged a complaint with the Human Rights Commission last week, calling on it to urgently investigate the AWB-aligned Kommandokorps, which trains young boys to hate other races and to carry out hate crimes.
DA national spokesperson, Musi Maimane, says this training reportedly includes fire arm handling and political indoctrination designed to nurture racial hatred.
He says the Kommandokorps claims to have already trained over 1-thousand-500 boys.
"We felt quite extensively that the crimes that are taking place there are not building towards our nation, in fact they are divisive on a racial basis," he said.
"We welcome the investigation and we certainly are looking foward to seeing what the findings are. And, our ultimate destination is that institutions such as this shouldn't exit in a new South Africa," Maimane said.
