A car accident in which a well-known South African singer ran over an elderly pedestrian in Soweto, is currently under investigation.
Gauteng police spokesperson, Warrant Officer Kay Makhubela says a case of culpable homicide is being investigated, after the singer's car crashed into the 79-year-old woman as she was crossing a street last week.
Makhubela says the case was originally one of reckless or negligent driving. However, after the pedestrian died in hospital, it was changed to a culpable homicide case.
A date has not yet been determined for any court action.
