Home Affairs Minister, Naledi Pandor has warned that South Africa is increasingly becoming a key destination for trafficking children.
She was speaking at the graduation of a hundred immigration officers in Glenwood, Durban, on Friday.
Pandor told the new officers they would be key in combating a crime that is happening at a global level.
"A number of young children are being taken from poor countries, brought into South Africa and they are being transported into European countries. Some of them are sold as child sex slaves others are used in slave labour" she said
