South African and Mozambican authorities are plotting a route together to combat the scourge of rhino killings in the Kruger National Park.
Representatives from both governments met this week to find solutions to the problem - which saw 252 rhino poached in the park last year.
SA National Parks spokesperson, Wanda Mkutshulwa, says its vital for the countries to collaborate - as the majority of rhino carcasses poached last year were found in the Eastern regions of the park.
She says the creation of a conservation buffer zone between the countries is at the top of their agenda which will benefit Kruger in many ways.
"It was not only to protect Rhino and other species but also to expand the area that the wildlife can utilise. This will be of conservation-benefit to both countries, " Mkutshulwa said.
