A group of cyclists from Mauritius, who took part in last weekend's Cape Town Cycle Tour, had their road bikes stolen from a storage facility.
The 12 cyclists stayed at a guest farm in Paarl this week where they were able to store their road bikes in a storage facility.
According to police, they realised on Thursday that the bikes were gone as they were getting ready for their next cycling adventure.
Police say the team are making their way to Egypt now to take part in the Africa Cycle Race.
Police say the road bikes, valued at about R1 million, were stolen in the last 24 hours.
Cases of theft are under investigation and Paarl police have asked for anybody with information to come forward.
