Rhino poacher wounded in the Kruger

 A rhino poacher has been wounded in a shootout with rangers in the Pretoriuskop section of the Kruger National Park.

SANParks says the wounded man and another poacher were arrested in Tuesday night's incident.

A .458 rifle fitted with a silencer, ammunition, an axe, and a knife were seized.

A third suspect managed to escape.

The two men arrested will appear in the White River Magistrate's Court on Thursday.
