Tributes are pouring in from all over South Africa following the news of the shock passing of the Director of Medi Response in Kwazulu Natal (KZN), Paul Herbst.
Herbst and his K9 Odi had just returned from a rescue mission in Türkiye following a devastating earthquake that the World Health Organisation (WHO) described as the worst natural disaster in the European Region for a century.
The cause of Herbst death was not divulged to the public and Medi Response asked everyone to respect the privacy of Paul's family and friends as they navigate through this difficult time.
Paul was described as a remarkable man whose death was a tragic loss for the industry.
