The Western Cape government says a planned march to the provincial legislature on Wednesday must be peaceful.
The warning came in the wake of the reinstatement of two ANC Councillors at the centre of the so-called poo-wars in Cape Town.
Western Cape premier Helen Zille said in a statement that Andile Lili and Loyiso Nkohla, have been making repeated threats of making Cape Town ungovernable.
The pair were welcomed back into the ANC following a ruling by the party's provincial disciplinary committee this week.
Chairperson, Fezile Calana, said they had been re-instated as fully-fledged members of the ANC and are able to participate in structures just like any other person.
Nkohla and Lili, a former City of Cape Town Councillor, had been charged with bringing the ANC into disrepute.
They led protesters in dumping human faeces on the steps of the Western Cape legislature and at Cape Town International Airport last year.
