Three men have been arrested in one of the biggest drug busts when Western Cape police seized 253 boxes of cocaine in Villiersdorp, in the Overberg, worth an estimated R500 million.
Western Cape police spokesperson Captain FC van Wyk said that the three, aged 23, 27 and 42, were charged with possession and dealing in drugs.
“They are expected to appear in court soon. The South African Police Services SAPS crime scene and forensic experts are still on the scene. The drugs are estimated at R500 million and are believed to have been destined for the export market.”
