The Presidency has confirmed the dates on which President Cyril Ramaphosa will appear before the State Capture Commission.
In a statement on Wednesday, the Presidency said he is scheduled to give evidence on the 22,23,28, and 29 April.
Presidential spokesperson, Tyrone Seale, said this was in line with Ramaphosa's many public statements in which he expressed his willingness to testify before the Commission.
Seale said Ramaphosa would give evidence to the Commission in his capacity as President and former Deputy President of the Republic and in his capacity as the President and former Deputy President of the African National Congress.
Earlier, the organisation Afriforum said it had lodged a formal application to the Commission to be able to cross-examine President Ramaphosa.
The organisation said it wanted to question him on the ANC’s policy of cadre deployment and how this had contributed to ‘State Capture’.
