ANC deputy president Cyril Ramaphosa said that president Jacob Zuma is the "action man", who will lead South Africa to prosperity.
Addressing ANC members in Edendale, Pietermaritzburg on Thursday night, Ramaphosa said that the time for talking is over.
He said that the party wants action, and action man Jacob Zuma will ensure that this country moves forward.
Ramaphosa said while the ANC has done well, matters like job creation and improved service delivery need urgent attention.
The ANC also has a plan to deal with poverty.
