Cape Town police arrested three men and seized drugs valued at R4m.
Police spokesperson, Colonel Andre’ Traut, said the arrests were made in the early hours of Saturday morning.
“Members attached to Public Order Policing reacted on a tipoff that a vehicle was scheduled to make a drug delivery in Elsies River and conducted a vehicle checkpoint in the area,” he said.
Traut said the Toyota Etios was stopped and police found 35 160 mandrax tablets and 4.3kg of Tik.
The suspects, aged between 32 and 41, are due to appear in court soon.
