The Financial Intelligence Centre says people should not respond to such notices which are being used to commit fraud.
The latest scam e-mail mentions that the senders of the letter have been authorised by Finance Minister, Pravin Gordhan, and the IMF to send a large amount of money due to the e-mail recipient.
In exchange the recipient is asked to provide their personal details including their address and mobile number which are then used in the scam.
