Public Protector to assess complaint over appointment of Zuma's daughter to top post

Public Protector Thuli Madonsela's office says its assessing a complaint about the appointment of President Jacob Zuma's daughter to a top post in the telecommunications and postal services department.
Madonsela's spokeswoman, Kgalalelo Masibi said that once the assessment team had done its assessment of the complaint, it will be sent to her for a decision.
The assessment team will decide if Madonsela should investigate Thuthukile Zuma's appointment as the department's chief of staff.
The complaint was lodged on Tuesday but Masibi could not divulge the person's identity.
