The chairperson of the Independent Electoral Commission, advocate Pansy Tlakula, says she's angry that a public protector report affecting the IEC was given to her at the 11th hour.
She said in a statement issued on Monday that she only received the report in the early hours of the morning, just hours before Public Protector, Thuli Madonsela, was due to make it public.
Tlakula said despite many requests to and assurances from the public protector that she would get the report a day before it was made public, this did not happen.
The Public Protector's report deals with allegations of maladministration and corruption in the procurement of the Riverside Office Park to accommodate the IEC head offices.
