A 36-year-old prosecutor from Upington in the Northern Cape is in police custody following his arrest for allegedly raping his partner, who is a police officer.
A spokesperson for the National Prosecuting Authority Mojalefa Senokoatsane says he is facing two counts of rape, one of sexual assault and one for contravening the Domestic Violence Act of 1998 for ignoring a protection order.
