Limpopo police are awaiting the results of blood tests done on the driver whose truck was involved in Sunday's's crash that killed Public Service and Administration minister - Collins Chabane and his two bodyguards.
Chabane and security officials Sergeants Lesiba Sekele and Lawrence Lentsoane had been travelling on the N1 from Limpopo to Gauteng, when their car collided with the truck.
It's understood the heavy goods vehicle had been attempting a U-turn when the crash occurred between Polokwane and Mokopane.
Hours after the crash - it emerged the truck driver may have been intoxicated.
Limpopo police spokesperson - Colonel Ronel Otto says the truck driver was arrested at the scene of the crash.
The man is due to appear in the Polokwane Magistrate's Court on Tuesday.
