Police in Mpumalanga have launched a manhunt for the suspects involved in the murder of a pregnant woman whose body was found in the Crocodile River in Mbombela.
SAPS spokesperson, Colonel Donald Mdhluli, says they were alerted to the body by members of the Kanyamazane community on Sunday.
He says her body was discovered with multiple gunshot wounds and she is estimated to be in her thirties.
Mdhluli says the deceased who has not yet been identified, has short blonde hair and was wearing pink trousers as well as a maroon shirt when she was found.
Meanwhile, Provincial Commissioner Lieutenant General, Semakaleng Manamela, condemned the murder of yet another woman during women’s month.
Last Thursday, the body of 23-year-old Nosicelo Mtebeni, a student from Quigney in East London was found dismembered and stashed in a suitcase.
The gruesome discovery was made when a police patrol was alerted to the suitcase and a black bag found on the corners of Fleet Street and Fitzpatrick Road.
A 25-year-old man believed to be her boyfriend has since been arrested for the murder.
