A Polokwane woman is behind bars for allegedly plotting to have her husband killed.
The 49-year-old secretary at Gateway Airport Authority Limited was arrested at her home on Thursday.
Police Spokesperson Captain Matimba Maluleke says it is alleged that the woman plotted with three men to kill her husband, who is said to be a well-known businessman.
He says the couple is on the verge of a divorce.
The wife allegedly offered to pay the hitmen an amount of R50 000.
Maluleke says police uncovered the plot and immediately put an action plan in place.
