A policeman has been jailed for 10 years for killing a street vendor in Pretoria.
The Independent Police Investigative Directorate says constable Joel Kekana was sentenced in the Pretoria High Court on Monday.
IPID spokesperson, Moses Dlamini, says Kekana was convicted of killing Rwandan refugee Paul Ndayambe in November 2009.
He was was also sentenced to three years for the possession of an unlicensed firearm and 6 months for the possession of unlicensed ammunition.
The sentences will run concurrently.
