The Brakpan Police Officer who brutally assaulted his wife for a second time has been arrested by the Independent Police Investigative Directorate and police.
IPID spokesperson, Lizzy Suping, says the officer was arrested last night after images of the battered woman were doing the rounds on social media since Wednesday.
She said the policeman was also out on bail for previously assaulting his wife, and one of the conditions was that he should not be in contact with her.
Suping said IPID assisted the woman to lay a second case against her policeman husband which will be used to apply to the courts for his bail to be revoked.
The officer will appear in court on Monday for the latest assault case.
