The Free State police have released an identikit of an individual whose body was allegedly also claimed by Thabo Bester's girlfriend.
Nandipha Magudumana, who is in custody facing various charges on the Bester escape saga, allegedly claimed the body of this unknown individual on 8 April 2022, who was later found by the police on the 28th of the same month last year.
The body was found at Modder River, allegedly with a tag still intact, just a few days before Bester escaped from the Mangaung Correctional Centre under the guard of G4S.
She allegedly claimed three bodies, including the body of Katlego Bereng who was found in Bester's prison cell.
According to police spokesperson, Motantsi Makhele, the body of this unknown individual was first found in Lovedale Road, Bloemfontein, in a hit-and-run on 9 October 2021.
The police are looking for anybody with information to trace the next of kin of the man that was found in a river in Bloemfontein.
