Seven police officers from Bonnivale in the Western Cape were released on bail of R5 000 each, following their arrest on Monday for their alleged involvement in a liquor store robbery.
The two sergeants and five police constables appeared in the Swellendam Magistrates' Court on Tuesday.
The officers are facing charges defeating the ends of justice, theft, unauthorised use of a motor vehicle and of contravening the lockdown regulations.
The case was postponed until 24th of June for further investigation.
Meanwhile, two alleged drug dealers, aged 29 and 37, also appeared in the same Magistrates court after cocaine and tik with an estimated value of R100 00 were found hidden inside the bedroom and bathroom of a house in Aandblom street.
