Police are hunting for the assailants who attacked and robbed a group of tourists at a holiday house on a plot in Phalaborwa on Boxing Day.
They were robbed at gunpoint of valuables that included a laptop, ten cell phones, jewellery and more than R5000 in cash, according to a SAPSstatement released on Saturday.
“The suspects fled in the victims rented Mercedes Benz, which was later found abandoned in bushes next to Siloque main road, about 10km from the scene."
National Commissioner of Police, General Khehla John Sitole, called for a "massive mobilisation" to track down the perpetrators.
