All four people involved in the murder of Poffader Hotelier, Leon Brits are now behind bars.

The well-known hotelier was brutally murdered in a well-orchestrated plot by his wife Suretha who was jailed for 25-years.

A spokesperson for the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) in the Northern Cape, Mojalefa Senokoatsane said they first secured a conviction for Jacques van Vuuren who was tasked by Suretha to find the hitmen to kill her husband.

Van Vuuren pleaded guilty and turned State Witness for which he received a lesser sentence of 20-years in prison.

Senokoatsane said it was van Vuuren who led police to Suretha's involvement that blew the case wide open.

The two hitmen, 25-year-old Amatle Bareki and 35-year-old Enrich Williams were both sentenced on Thursday to direct life imprisonment for their role in Brits' murder.

Brits’ body was found in a swimming pool in one of their properties on 20 October 2020.

Shortly after the murder, Suretha wrote several posts on Facebook expressing her grief and sadness following the brutal murder of her beloved husband.
