The bail hearing of paralympian Oscar Pistorius, accused of the murder of his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp, was postponed to Wednesday in the Pretoria Magistrate's Court.
Twenty-six-year-old Pistorius was remanded in custody at the Brooklyn police station.
Earlier on Tuesday, magistrate Desmond Nair, ruled that the charge of premeditated murder being brought by the state constituted a schedule six offence.
This means that his legal team will have to prove exceptional circumstances for bail to be granted to the fallen paralympian.
In other evidence before the court, Pistorius said he did not intend to kill his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp.
He says in an affidavit that he failed to understand how he could be charged with murder, let alone premeditated murder, as he did not plan to murder her.
Pistorius' brother Carl placed his hand on his back while the affidavit, marked "Exhibit A", was being read into the court record.
Pistorius was charged with murder after Steenkamp was shot dead at his home in Pretoria on Thursday.
The paralympian repeatedly broke down in court during proceedings.
