A pilot was killed, after his plane crashed at the Klerksdorp Air Show in North West on Saturday morning.
The SA National Defence Force says the L-39 Albatros aircraft was privately owned, and did not belong to the Air Force.
Civil Aviation Authority spokesperson, Frans Motaung confirmed the crash and said investigators were on their way to the scene.
Earlier, Netcare 911 paramedics said the pilot was attempting an aerial manoeuvre when the aircraft crashed, bursting into flames on impact.
