A four-year-old boy remains in a serious condition after he was bitten by a dog infected with rabies in KwaZulu-Natal.
The provincial department of environmental affairs says it is believed he was bitten by two separate dogs.
Department spokesperson, Jeffrey Zikhali says the boy was bitten in April in the Umlazi area, and is still in Durban's Prince Mshiyeni Memorial hospital.
He says both dogs tested positive for rabies, but the boy remains negative for some medical reason.
Three people have died of rabies in the province this year.
