The maximum retail price for LP Gas increases by 52 cents a kilogram to reach R19.64 at the coast and R21.46 in Gauteng.

The slate levy on petrol and diesel would decrease from 4.38 cents a litre to zero cents a litre.

However, the average rand/dollar exchange rate strengthened when compared to the previous month, at R8.2657 compared to R8.41189 previously.

The rand's strengthening against the dollar decreased the contribution to the basic price on petrol, diesel, and illuminating paraffin by 11.51 cents a litre, 12.17 cents a litre, and 11.96 cents a litre respectively.
