Parliament’s presiding officers have sent well wishes to veteran MP, Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi, who tested positive for Covid-19.
In a statement on Saturday, they said it's understood that Buthelezi remains asymptomatic and is in self-isolation at home for the mandatory period.
“We are pleased to learn that he remains in high spirits, and we are confident he will defeat this disease. We urge South Africans to keep him and many others infected or affected by this virus in our prayers”, the statement said.
The Parliamentarians have also urged South Africans to comply with all the regulations and safety protocols.
