Parents at the Brackenfell High school in the Western Cape have been urged to stay away from the school on Friday ahead of the protest by the Economic Freedom Fighters.
The EFF is expected to return to the school following a violent confrontation which broke out between parents and EFF members a week ago.
The party had come to protest against an alleged racist incident at the school where a private matric farewell party was held which was only attended by white pupils.
The violence drew international interest and received widespread condemnation, even from President Ramaphosa.
Western Cape Education, Debbie Schaefer has accused the EFF of being unwilling to resolve the matter through dialogue after the red berets allegedly cancelled a meeting with her scheduled for Friday.
She claims that the party's intent is to intimidate and disrupt schooling and that this adds more anxiety to the learners who have already had a difficult year.
MEC Schaefer said only parents fetching their children should come to the school on Friday.
