The High Court in Pretoria has ruled that parts of the murder trial of paralympian Oscar Pistorius may be televised, including opening and closing argument.
Judge Duncan Mlambo ruled a short while ago that the athlete's testimony will be excluded from broadcasting.
He said it was in the public interest.
Mlambo ruled that three unmanned cameras will be allowed in court but must be unobtrusive.
Audio recording of the entire trial will be permitted, with video in some parts.
Opening arguments, testimony by all experts and police officers may be televised.
Testimony by all witnesses may be televised unless individuals refuse consent.
The Blade Runner goes on trial for the murder of his Port Elizabeth model girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp on the 3rd of March in the Pretoria High court.
The trial, is set to run until the 20th of March and has already been dubbed the trial of the century.
